I was sceptical at first, and it was a little awkward to put it together, but maybe I am a klutz… But when I used the Leaf Eater for the first time I was instantly happy. We have 5 huge maple trees on the side of our house, and the piles of leaves each fall are always overwhelming.

This kit makes it easy to quicky insulate just about any reasonably sized window you may have. The kit includes one large sheet of plastic and 2 rolls of double sided tape. You apply the tape around the frame of the window you want to insulate, cut a piece of plastic and then apply it to the tape. Once you’ve done that you just need to use a hair dryer on the plastic to get it to shrink and tighten in your window frame.

I read several positive reviews before buying my first Makita at an exceptionally good price. It arrived quickly and worked perfectly after minimal break-in. Just as other reviewers have said, it IS heavy, but it is also solidly built and very quiet. I took the original to a farm property I own near my oldest son.
Since he was impressed with its performance, I decided to buy a second one to keep in my main workshop while I left the original unit on the farm. Just the other week one of the wing-nuts on the shovel came loose causing one of the braces to swing free.
